Lieutenant Ruben Boomsma

Lieutenant Ruben Boomsma (1980) has been working for the Netherlands Police for over twenty years in various operational positions, most recently in one of the frontline teams in the city of Den Helder. He is engaged in diversity policymaking within the Dutch police and member of the board of the Dutch Society of Evidence-based policing in the Netherlands. And he is also involved in the movement of Law Enforcement Action Partnership (LEAP) in the Netherlands. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology and a master’s degree in Public Administration. He is especially interested in improving the effectiveness of policing.
