Raegan Stewart is the Commander Investigations, Southern Command (CISC), having responsibility for leading and managing a portfolio of 370 staff across all operational elements including Transnational Serious & Organised crime, Financial Crime & Anti-Corruption, Cyber, Human Exploitation, Intelligence and Covert Operations. Cmdr. Stewart is also the Responsible Officer for both the AFP’s Countering Italian Organised Crime Strategy (Op Causis) and Taskforce Centinel (Combating Trusted Insiders within the supply chain).
Cmdr. Stewart was deployed to ACT Policing after joining the AFP in 1998 via a lateral transfer from New South Wales Police Force. Cmdr. Stewart has worked domestically for the AFP within Australia in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra in a variety of operational roles. She has deployed internationally to Timor Leste as part of the United Nations CIVPOL response; attached to PRS she deployed to the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands (RAMSI); 2008-2012 she deployed as Liaison Officer to Hong Kong; and 2017-2021 she deployed as Senior Officer to Guangzhou, China.
As Senior Officer, AFP Guangzhou office, Cmdr. Stewart led and managed the AFP Guangzhou office with particular focus on anti-narcotics trafficking through the cooperation mechanism of Taskforce Blaze with Chinese law enforcement. Cooperation between the two countries during her deployment resulted in the increase in joint seizures from 3 tonnes to over 26 tonnes of drugs and precursors. Cmdr. Stewart broadened the operational focus of the Guangzhou Office which saw successful outcomes in money laundering and combatting child sexual exploitation.

Commander Stewart holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Management (Policing) from Charles Sturt University.
